Try incorporating leafy greens such as bitter gourd, arugula, dandelion greens, spinach, mustard greens and chicory into your diet. This will help increase the creation and flow of bile, the substance that removes waste from the organs and blood.

How to Find Inner Peace

Follow these steps to calm yourself. You may find this useful to do before you go to sleep.

Steps
  1. Try to be in a quiet clean room with no distractions and get in a comfortable position (preferably on a bed). As an alternative, you could take yourself to a peaceful place outdoors.
  2. Close your eyes and try to control the "images" you find your self imagining. For a simple exercise, imagine a cube spinning and then try to stop it. If it takes a while and spins slower until it gradually stops, then you are a more technical or logical person. If however it stops immediately, then you are a very creative person with a very artistic nature.
  3. Try listening to slow calm music. Songs with harps, guitars and piano are particularly calming. If possible, avoid music with lyrics as this may distract you and make it more difficult to focus on your self.
  4. If you can not find any peace or happiness, then try imagining one you love finding it or think of a time/memory you may have of a time you were happy. Afterwards you should feel VERY relaxed, happy and refreshed.
Tips
  • Try non-cluttered rooms away from any distraction and just blank out everything from the world.
  • If you have the space, create an alter where you can go to find inner pace. Try decorating your alter with images that have a calming influence on you i.e. a photo of a sunset, a beautiful meadow or a starlit sky.
  • If your visions stray, just say to your self "concentrate" or other encouraging words. However you mustn't over-discipline; accept the fact that it's natural for your mind to wander. This is how some brilliant ideas can come in to your head and possibly even messages from spirit guides you have.
  • If your life is going a little too fast for you, meditate whenever you feel you need it. It need not be for long - just take a moment to be still. It will brighten your day.
  • After meditating, you may find it helpful and interesting to keep a record of any thoughts or feelings you had. Make a note of the date, and perhaps later you can look back and enjoy the progress you've made. Also, if you found a new technique to find inner-peace particularly helpful, jot it down!

 Warnings
  • Just be aware of other people disturbing you whilst doing this - it could make you very frustrated. To avoid this, put a simple note on the door warning others not to disturb you.
  • In finding inner-peace, you have to work your way through whatever it is that's stopping you from being peaceful. Prepare to face issues and feelings that you never realized you had. Don't deny yourself this - express what you are feeling in whatever way is comfortable.
  • Don't ever take this for a quick thing. Accept that this will take time and the more you practice, the easier it will be in future.

Copper Drinking mug (Tumblers)

Copper mug (Tumblers)

Yogis and traditional households in India have for thousands of years (and are till today) been utilizing a simple, practical and effective method of drinking water in its most holistic way- drinking water from a copper cup or a large copper vessel where water is stored.

Ayurveda recommends storing water in copper vessels

Benefits of copper according to ayurveda:

- Drinking water from copper cups prevents ageing, vaya-sthapak.

- Copper can destroy undesirable virus and bacteria. When copper dissolves in water, water becomes ionic (electrolyte) as can be ascertained by its pH measurement. That is the reason the micro-organisms get killed in such water.
This is called the Oligodynamic effect, as proven by research.

- Water is energized. Taste the water from a copper cup to experience the energized quality of water!

Yogis have revered copper as an ideal container to positively charge water before drinking it. For thousands of years, the yogis would carry water in their copper pot called 'kamandalam'.  In traditional households in India, copper drinking cups such as the ones offered here is still used. We now offer these traditional copper drinking cups called in South India "tumblers" to you!

First recognized in the 1870's as a normal constituent of blood, copper is a trace mineral that plays an important role in our metabolism, largely because it allows many critical enzymes to function properly.

Copper plays an important part in the following:

- Iron Utilization
- Elimination of Free Radicals
- Development of Bone & Connective Tissue
- Melanin Production

Oligodynamic effect: Copper has proven to kill bacteria due to what is called the 'oligodynamic' effect.

The oligodynamic effect (Greek oligos = few, dynamis = force) was discovered in 1893 by the Swiss KW Nägeli as a toxic effect of metal-ions on living cells, algae, moulds, spores, fungi, virus, prokaryotic and eukaryotic microorganisms, even in relatively low concentrations.

Certain metals such as copper are known to be far more poisonous to bacteria than others, e.g. stainless steel or aluminum

Caution: Pregnant women and people with high levels of copper should not use this product.

Copper drinking cups do change the taste and feel of water. The water definitely feels more energized.

Rudraksha Maintenance

A Rudraksha bead appears to be very strong externally & can be passed on from generation to generation only if maintained properly, however no one could guess the age of a Rudraksha bead as it could even be a few days, months or years.
Hence, one should also keep in mind that it is a natural product & subject to wear & tear if not handled & taken care off properly it can give way.
One should avoid mishandling like throwing the bead / mala or playing with it as its contours might
chip off or the bead might crack. Here are a few tips that would help to maintain the bead.

Ø Rudraksha beads being a natural product contain natural oil, which on drying reduces the life of the bead, hence one should see to it that the beads are regularly oiled & free from fungus & insects. If Rudraksha is worn during bath, it is recommended to keep it away from soap, as excess soap, powder, perfumes spoils or might reduce the life of the bead by drying its natural oil and penetrating or sticking to it. Water is good for the beads but at the same
time one should ensure the Rudraksha is kept for complete drying as wet beads may attract fungus. If it is not worn during bath, the mala should be cleaned & oiled average once in 2 months as mentioned below.
Ø Clean your mala / beads when you feel they require cleaning after regular usage.
Ø Dip the beads in Luke warm water & soak it for around half hour to 45 minutes.
Ø Delicately use a fresh / new & unused plastic / fibre bristle brush to clean the dirt and grime that fixes in the pores of the beads. This can be kept as a dedicated brush only to clean auspicious Rudraksha beads & nothing else.
Ø Place the beads on a cloth or newspaper to absorb the excess water & expose it to Sun for quick drying. Allow it to dry for 1 to 2 days. Meanwhile keep feeling the beads & you would get to know if they have dried up completely.
Ø When the beads turn completely dry apply some oil on the beads by using a brush.
Ø A mixture of sandalwood oil & olive oil is considered to be the best as it leaves a nice soothing fragrance as well as maintains the health of the Rudraksha. Oiling can be repeated whenever the beads seem dry. Kindly do not use ghee as it leaves a typical smell in the Rudraksha beads.
Ø Oiling at least once is two months is recommended, if possible more number of times would be still better. This would maintain the life of the bead.
Other Important Tips

Ø One should not interchange their Rudraksha bead / mala with anyone, onecan pass it on as wishes or blessings to their near & dear ones but should notinter change regularly. This is because Rudraksha & you get use to each other & there has been acceptances by both……So kindly do not disturb the same.
Ø Rudraksha can be worn in any metal, be it gold / silver / copper / panchdhatu or thread. It has electrical and magnetic properties, which enhances when worn with metal.
Ø One can wear any combination of Rudraksha beads as it does not have any negative effects on its wearer or possessor. They are simply the most natural representations of Gods & goddesses & hence can’t have any reverse or negative effects.
Ø One can wear the mala of 54 or 108 beads or rather any number of beads with different mukhis as per their need/requirement.
Ø Anyone can wear Rudraksha, without any discrimination of caste, creed & sex as Rudraksha is made by the Lord for the benefits of mankind.
Ø Rudraksha should be kept well cleaned and oiled, at least once in two months.
Ø Never loose faith in Rudraksha, it is said that it positively gives effects. However, nobody can precisely say when & how much will it effect. The percentage & time of effects is not defined & at the same time there is instrument that could measure the same. Kindly, beware of traders who claim the time period & percentage of effects of a Rudraksha bead at the time of selling as this may be just a marketing stunt to push sales.
